2small ripe avocadosabout a heaping cup
one 15 oz can garbanzo beans or chickpeasdrained and rinsed well
2large garlic clovesor to taste
3-4jalapeno slices from jardepending on desired heat
2heaping tablespoons tahini
2tablespoonslemon or lime juiceadd more to taste
2teaspoonscumin
1/2teaspoonchili powder
1teaspoonfine sea salt
few pieces of spinach or arugula to achieve desired color
Instructions
Drain and rinse the beans well. Add the beans to a food processor and pulse until smooth, scraping the sides as necessary. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse until very smooth. Let it run for several minutes as it will continue to get smoother. The chili powder changes the green color a bit, so that is why I added the arugula. It only takes a small amount. Taste and add any more seasonings if desired.
